For Young People
Birds are among the most visible of the living and moving creatures: we see them flying in the sky and can spot them on the ground too. Many people attract birds to their gardens by putting out food for them and perhaps putting up nesting boxes.
How well do you know birds? There is a great variety of size, colour and call among the different species which helps us to identify them but it can still be difficult to tell some of them apart!
The great thing about birds is that each one has a character of its own. This should not surprise us for God made them and He made them all unique.
God made the birds on the fifth day of creation:
“And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.” (Genesis 1:20-22)
There are birds mentioned in the Bible which teach us lessons we need to know about the most important things in life. Let us take a look at them.
