A. Faith in Jesus Christ is a saving grace,[e] whereby we receive and rest upon him alone for salvation, as he is offered to us in the gospel.[f]

We are here taught,

1. That faith in Jesus Christ is a saving grace.

2. That Jesus Christ is received as a Saviour by faith.

3. That by faith we depend on Christ for salvation.

4. That by faith we depend on Christ alone for salvation.

5. That by faith we receive Christ as offered in the gospel.
